Sat 01 August - 9 pm Markus Stockhausen - TrumpetAngelo Comisso - Piano, Synthesizer Christian Thomé - Drums Guest musician: Dinesh Mishra - Bansuri The trio Stockhausen-Comisso-Thomé has been playing together since 2004. The trio's music is clearly shaped by the roots of European art music. Stockhausen's and Comisso's compositions form a harmonious synthesis with the art of improvisation so that a lightness, a kind of playfulness and also something humorous is created. All three musicians are virtuosos on their instruments and have a broad palette of playing experience. The trio's music feels close to jazz, but can amaze a more classically- or contemporary-minded audience just as much. The trio Stockhausen-Comisso-Thomé has been playing together since 2004. Sun 02 August - 8 pm Sheikh Hassan Dyck- Cello d'Amore, Voice, Story-TellingHey Hussein - Mouth-Harp, Voice, Percussion Marvin Dillman - Didgeridoo, Darabuka Mario Triska - Violin Sheikh Hassan tells especially tales of sufi wisdom,
accompanied by its violoncello of "Amore" also called
"Campanulla". This "widened" violoncello offers a broad
series of consonances and is remarkably adapted for the
presentation of the ethnic spiritual music. The music comes
mainly from the inspiration and the improvisation with a special
attention to the noises, vibrations and frequencies. The Sufi
tales are presented with great humour without losing the
perspicacity and the depth of Sufi wisdom
