Colour in the flow Oleg Yurov from Kiev has developed his own technique, which he calls “Free Motion”. He makes the paint flow, which enables him to show the world in its movement, creating intense impressions. The technique of” free motion” enables him to transfer the inner fluidity of the world into the visual. Working at the intersection of abstraction and form without a brush or the traditional approach, he attempts to combine the eternal with the ephemeral. The artist is fascinated by opening up different visions through experimentation with fluid material. In doing so, he does not look for an impression, but creates it. His paintings are minimalist in design and the large format of the paintings brings the focus to inner worlds and their character. His works move between abstraction and representationalism. His spiritual background is in Japan, he is the author of 8 books on Japanese poetry. As a writer of haiku, he has won many international haiku competitions, and is now a Jurvmitalied. Oleg Yurov gives painting workshops and acts as an advisor for his ‘Programme for Discovering Talents and Goals to Find a Place in Life’. He organises international exhibitions for his students.
