Regina Kochs

Regina Kochs’s paintings captivate through a tension between simplicity and complexity. From clear basic shapes—line, circle, oval—and a few, often monochrome tones, works emerge that radiate calm and clarity from a distance, yet reveal a surprising depth up close. Layer by layer Kochs builds structures in which the eye continually discovers new connections and movements. It is a play of surface, color, and line that feels at once analytical and poetic. Her pictures invite the viewer to pause, look more closely, and allow themselves to be drawn from clarity and structure into a quiet movement.
