Bettina Hachmann

PAINTING

Bettina Hachmann’s paintings defy unambiguity; in addition to associations with landscapes with reeds and grasses in the mist, they tell stories of real life, of injury and healing. She achieves a special intensity with her very own signature of many working steps, such as multiple applications of paint, rubbing and cutting into the canvas. She is concerned with accepting the shadow side and the beauty that lies hidden. Since 1999, she has been present at numerous exhibitions and fairs at home and abroad. The artist, born in 1967, has her studio in Schloss Wissen on the Lower Rhine.

Sybille Hassinger

PAINTING

Sybille Hassinger’s elements are colour and form, light and line. In her fresh and lively paintings she plays virtuously with perspectives of foreground and background.  Opaque and semi-transparent colour applications alternate, creating a state of suspension. She creates a harmonious harmony of pastel shades and strong colours. After her artistic studies in Dortmund in the 1980s, she spent longer periods working in Amsterdam and Paris. Since 1993 she has had numerous exhibitions throughout Germany and Central Europe. Sybille Hassinger lives and works in Dortmund.

Johannes Dröge

SCULPTURE

Johannes Dröge has a deep, intuitive connection to nature and its organic forms. He translates his feeling for lines into perfect craftsmanship. This time Johannes Dröge is exhibiting together with colleagues: Alva Scharz, Christa Wuttke, Elisabeth Mette and Gisela Spies. The works in marble, diabase, onyx and bronze show surprising forms from different angles. Johannes Dröge, born in 1931, is an original with humour ranging from the subtle to the ribald. The artist from Sauerland has been active for 60 years with more than 500 exhibitions at home and abroad. A highlight was the “Stein” state prize awarded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1981.

Claudia Kroth

PHOTOGRAPHY

Claudia Kroth shows photographs from Mongolia, China, Siberia and Oman. She has travelled a lot and often alone, her portraits and landscape photographs were taken far from tourist routes. What is fascinating about her work is that black and white images can be so colourful. The viewer is captivated by the photographs and the stories of human encounters and vast nature. Claudia Kroth has created many series of touching portraits, which she has exhibited throughout Germany since 1999 and published as illustrated books. She lives and works in Cologne.
